UTD Golfers Finish 13th At
First Spring Tournament

TEMPLE, TX - The University of Texas at Dallas golf team finished in 13th place at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Spring Invitational, but just 37 strokes overall behind tournament champion Northwood University.

UTD's Peyton Cook (right) was the top Comet finisher, shooting a 36-hole total of 158, 14 strokes over par. He tied for 26th place, 11 strokes behind medalis Amory Droogsma of Southwestern, who shot a 147.

Matt Filbert and Ben Thompson both shot a 161, but placed in a tie for 47th place while Andrew Lewis finished with a 167 and Robert Johnson shot a 175.

Whle only 37 strokes seperated the top 13 teams in the tournament, UTD did finish well ahead of the final two finishers, Concordia-Austin (691) and Schreiner University (726).
