Win Weekly ASC Honors
Acuff, Morshedi and Dixon Selected Players of the Week

The American Southwest Conference awarded weekly honors to three University of Texas at Dallas student-athletes for their accomplishments on the field last week.

Cassidy Acuff (far right) was the ASC Defensive Player of the Week for women's soccer. Ali Morshedi (near right) won the Offensive POW award for men's soccer. And, cross country runner Leslie Dixon (pictured below) was named the Female Runner of the Week.

Acuff, a junior from Dallas, spearheaded a UTD back line that completely shutdown Mississippi College and Louisiana College in two games over the weekend. Acuff and her teammates held MC to just three shots (none on goal) and stopped LC cold without a single shot.

Morshedi, asenior from Tomball, TX, knocked in the game-winner just six minutes into a 3-0 win over previously-unbeaten Mississippi College; then came back the next day with a goal and two assists in an 11-0 win at Louisiana College.

Dixon, a sophomore from Spring, TX, led UTD's women's team to its first meet victory last weekend at the University of Dallas Meet. She finished second in the 6K run with a time of 25:23.96 to lead six Comet runners to a Top 10 finish at the meet.
