ASC Academic All-Conference Teams
Six Women Named To Honor Squad

RICHARDSON, TX - Seven members of the University of Texas at Dallas basketball teams are among the 109 players named to the American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference teams for the winter season.

Six women and one male player from UTD were named part of the squad, which requires players be in at least their second year at the institution, letter for their sport during the 2004-05 season and have a GPA of at least 3.00 on a fulltime load.

Frank Faber, a junior from El Paso, was the lone honoree from the Comets' conference championship men's basketball team this year. Selected from the women's team were: Gigi Graugnard, sophomore from Sugar Land; Ashley Hartman, junior from Little Elm; Kia Jones, junior from Katy; Leslie Leatherwood, sophomor from Leonard; Jennifer Longoria, junior from Spring; and Amanda Van Cleave, sophomore from Arlington.
