Twenty-Three Student-Athletes Receive
Spring Academic All-ASC Honors

RICHARDSON, TX - Twenty-three UTD student-athletes from baseball, softball, tennis and athletic training were named as part of the American Southwest Conference Spring 2006 Academic All-Conference Squad.

The ASC Academic All-Conference squad iis made of student-athletes who meet minimum requirements set by the ASC. UTD had 11 softball players, seven baseball players, and two members each from the UTD men's and women's tennis teams, along with student athletic trainer Ashley Hartman honored this spring.

To be named to the squad, a student-athlete must have participated in enough contests to be considered a letterwinner for the team, have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA), and have completed at least one full previous year of attendance at the university. Freshmen and first-year transfer students are not eligible, according to ASC criteria.
