TYLER, TX - Senior runners Kevin Chen and Suzanne Davis were the top individual finishers for the UTD cross country teams, but he Comets could not break into the top half in either division at the American Southwest Conference Championship Meet, hosted by UT-Tyler.

The UTD men placed 6th out of 10 teams in the men's division as UT-Tyler ran away with the title with five Top 10 finishers. The UTD women came in 8th place in the 11-team women's field. McMurry won the women's division with all five runners finishing 12th or better.

Suzanne Davis had the best individual performance for the Comets, placing 27th in a field of over 76 runners with a time of 27:54 in the 6K race. Kevin Chen was the top UTD men's finisher, placing 38th in a 75-runner field with a time of 31:38 in the 8K.
