Yoder First UTD Female Golfer To Break 80
SALADO, TX - Alicia Yoder is believed to be the first UTD female golfer in program history to break the 80-stroke barrier earlier this week, shooting a 79 in the final round of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Lady Cru Spring Invitational at Mill Creek Golf Club.
Yoder, a sophomore from Longview, was one of only two Comet golfers able to represent UTD at the tournament after several members came down with the flu in the past week.
Even after shooting a disappointing 94 in the opening round, Yoder became one of just eight golfers in the 70-player field to shoot in the 70s and finished 12th in the individual standings.
Megan Cook, a sophomore from Stanton, had a two-day total of 203.
