| >>04.01.08 UTD Finished 3rd at Own Tournament RICHARDSON, TX - The UTD men's golf team struggled against windy conditions and themselves at the first annual UTD Spring Classic, slipping after a first-round lead to finish third in their own tournament at Sherrill Park Golf Club. The Comets led the 14-team field after a first-round 303 by a single stroke, but slipped to 319 in each of the next two rounds to finish at 941, 26 strokes behind tournament winner UT-Tyler (915). Mary Hardin-Baylor finished second at 930 with three consistent 310 rounds. UTD's Jesse Forsong shot a solid 77 straight across the board to finish eighth in the medalist race with a 231. Patrick Nolin, who was among the leaders after a first-round 73, slipped back to finish 15th with a 235. FINAL RESULTS |
