UTD Places 30 On Academic All-ASC Team

Women's Soccer Leads Way With 14 Selections to Honor Squad

RICHARDSON, TX - Thirty University of Texas at Dallas student-athletes have been named as members of the 2007 American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference Team for fall sports.

Five student-athletes were additionally nominated to the Distinguished Scholar-Athlete team in their sport. UTD's Distinguished Scholar-Athletes for the Fall 2007 semester are: Lyndsi Ayers (women's soccer), a senior biology major; Mihai Cotet (men's soccer), a senior computer science major; Krissie Seaman (volleyball), a junior mathematics major; Tanner McIntyre (men's cross country), a junior business administration major; and Natalie Price (women's cross country), a junior arts and techonology major.

The UTD women's soccer team led the fall Academic All-Conference selections with 14 while the men's soccer team added six players, volleyball one and cross country nine.

To be eligible for Academic All-Conference recognition, the student-athletes must have lettered for their teams, hold a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better, and have completed at least one full year of attendance at the member institution.
