Fans Will Be Able To Follow Comets Live
at ASC Basketball Tournaments
UTD Games Available By Audio/Video Webcasts (Links Listed Below)
Parents, students and other interested fans of the UT Dallas men's and women's basketball teams' fortunes at this weekend's American Southwest Conference Championship Tournaments will have the option of following the action live through online webcasts.
The host institutions of both tournaments will be offering LIVE VIDEO FEEDS through their websites, and the UTD Athletic Department will be offering LIVE RADIO WEBCASTS of selected games. The UTD broadcasters will stay with the women's team as long as it is alive in its tournament, but may broadcast men's games in the semifinals or championship game of their tournament if they are still playing. SEE BELOW FOR ALL LINK INFORMATION
The UTD men will begin their championship run with a game against Concordia-Texas at 2 pm Friday. The men's tournament is being played on the campus of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. UTD fans can follow that game either through the UMHB videocast or live stats at that game.
The Comets' women's team will play their first game at 6 pm Friday night against nationally-ranked McMurry University. The women's tournament is being played at the University of Texas-Tyler in Tyler, Texas.
If the UTD women win their quarterfinal game Friday, they will meet the winner of UT-Tyler and UMHB at 5 pm on Saturday. If the men win their quarterfinal matchup, they would meet the Mississippi College/Howard Payne winner at 2 pm Saturday. The championship game in both tournaments is set for 2 pm on Sunday, March 2.
Fans who want to follow the games via the videocasts at either site will need to visit the individual Tournament web pages listed below and navigate through the process to access the viewer. Men's tournament games will require viewers to register with Summit Ticket, but there will be no charge for viewing tournament games.
Viewers should be aware that the audio for these videocasts will be provided by various radio crews associated with specific teams, so the commentary may be somewhat slanted in that particular team's favor. In case of games broadcast by the UTD crew, it may be possible to pull up the audio from Radiio UTD, and the video from another source. (NOTE: Both videocasts have specific software and operational requirements. The UTD Athletic Department is unable to provide technical support or instruction.)
