Trio of Comets Named to All-East Teams

Lowery, Eppink and Witten Honored on ASC All-Division Teams

RICHARDSON, TX - Three members of the UTD men's basketball team won American Southwest Conference All-East Division honors following the 2007-08 season.

Junior Ernie Lowery (pictured near right) was a second-team All-East Division selection while sophomore Jordan Eppink (middle) won honorable mention honors. Freshman Jimmy Witten (above right) was named a member of the five-player All-East Division Freshman Team.

Lowery, a junior from Houston (Klein Collins HS) led the Comets in scoring this season, averaging 13.3 points per game and was the team assist leader with 62.

Eppink, a sophomore from Spring (Spring HS), finished the season averaging 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Witten, a freshman from Houston (Clear Lake HS) averaged 8.7 points and a team-best 6.3 rebounds per game.
