UTD Rebounds From First Conference Loss For 3-Game Sweep

LONGVIEW, TX - The UTD volleyball team, just a few days after dropping an emotional 3-2 loss to East Texas Baptist University, took out their frustrations Tuesday night with a three-game sweep of LeTourneau University.
UTD (10-3, 4-1) struggled a bit in the first game before taking a 30-23 win, but bounced back to handle the LadyJackets (3-9, 0-3) 30-14 and 30-20 in the final two games of the match.
Freshman Amber Wetz and junior Krissie Seaman combined for 17 of UTD's 44 kills in the match while sophomore Patti Allen and freshman Stephanie Waller added seven apiece. UTD was able to rotate in 12 players in the match for at least one game.
The Comets hit .279 for the match while LETU was only able to manage an .079 after commiting 19 errors. UTD got 14 services aces as well, led by six from freshman Candice Christian (pictured at right).
