Comet Freshman Wins ASC Weekly Award

RICHARDSON, TX - Texas-Dallas freshman setter Kaley Medsger (League City, TX / Clear Creek HS) has been named the American Southwest Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week for the first week of the 2007 volleyball season.

Medsger dished out a career-high 27 assists in a three-game sweep of Fontbonne at the Gilbert memorial Tournament in Richardson, TX. Medsger led the 6-2 offense with 77 assists over 13 games at the tournament in which the Comets began the season 3-1. She had an attack percentage of .333 and added five aces and 37 digs.
