Comets Run ASC Record to 9-2 With Wins
UTD Improves Overall Record to 15-4 By Beating UMHB, UT-Tyler
RICHARDSON, TX - The UTD volleyball team shook off a slow starts this week in a pair of matches with teams they needed to beat, rallying for a 3-0 win over both the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and UT-Tyler.
The wins improved UTD's record to 15-4 overall and 9-2 in ASC play, allowing the Comets to keep pace with East Texas Baptist in the American Southwest Conference East Division race.

Freshman Stephanie Waller (pictured) led the Comet attack with a 16-kill night as UTD put down 54 kills in just three games, hitting .232 percent for the match. Still, almost half of UMHB's combined 65 points came off UTD errors.
The Comet defense, however, kept UTD rallying from behind, picking up 103 digs. Sophomore Kat Adams and Waller combined for 47.

Freshman Amber Wetz (pictured at right) led an effiicient Comet attack with 17 kills as UTD connected at a .363 pace in a three-game sweep.
UTD put down 49 kills and got 36 points off Patriot miscues while committing just eight attack errors on the night.
UTD is off until next weekend's second ASC Crossover Tournament of the year, where the Comets will meet up with ASC West leader Hardin-Simmons at the East-West Tournament held at Concordia-Austin.
