Edwards Named ASC Player of Week

Comet Guard Leads UTD Back Into The ASC East RAce

RICHARDSON, TX - UTD point guard Chelsea Edwards has been selected as the American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week after back-to-back big games last weekend.

Edwards, a sophomore from Friendswood, TX, scored 37 points and pulled down 18 rebounds for UTD in a narrow loss to Mississippi College and a win over division-leading Louisiana College last weekend. Against LC, she came close to posting a triple-double, scoring 19 points with nine rebounds and eight assists. She also had five steals, a blocked shot and shot over 50 percent from the field.
