Elizondo had one of the most impressive starts to a UTD baseball career in program history after transferring from a championship team at Weatherford Junior College prior to the 2005 season. Elizondo set school records with 71 hits and a .438 overall batting average in 2005, earning himself the trifecta of American Southwest Conference honors - ASC East Division Newcomer of the Year, Player of the Year and first-team All-Conference. He then topped that off with an ABCA first-team selection on the All-West Region team, and was selected as the 2006 Pre-Season Player of the Year in a poll of ASC coaches. His average slipped to .333 in 2006, but he still managed 23 doubles and drove in 41 runs, again winning all-conference (first team) and all-region (third-team) honors. MAJOR: Psychology/Business Administration; AMBITION: Undecided.
