The last remaining member of the original UTD baseball squad, Kiesling rebounded from a lost 2004 season (medical redshirt) last year by posting a team-best 1.87 ERA with a 2-0 record as a reliever. Worked 33.2 innings and posted 38 strikeouts while holding opposing batters to a .190 batting average. Earned honorable mention All-American Southwest Conference East Division honors. Will try to transfer that success into a starting role this season. Started strong in his first two years, making 17 appearances with 8 starts, striking out 49 hitters in 64.0 innings during 2002-2003. Had 14 K's in 14.02 innings before his injury in 2004. Was a second-team all-district pitcher in high school on a bi-district championship team. Also played football. MAJOR: Business/MIS emphasis. |
