Hillen was just emerging as a contributor in the middle for the Comets during his freshman season when an injury ended his season. Still appeared in 14 games, averaging about 9.5 minutes with 19 blocked shots. UTD could use his 6-9 frame in the middle and will be looked to for an increased role this season. Hillen's high school team at Austin McCallum HS won four straight district championships during his career, as well as a baseball championship during his freshman year. Also played golf.
