Salinas has emerged as the UTD career leader in three-point shooting after a stellar 2005-06 season, and has led the team in scoring each of the last two years. Salinas hit 73 threes, shooting .336 from beyond the arch and averaging a team-leading 14.7-points per game. Started getting the attention of the ASC in his sophomore season, when he set a school record with 85 threes, hitting .427 (85-199). Scored 63 points in three games at the 2005 ASC Championship Tournament, leading the Comets to the title and winning tournament MVP honors. Ended the season averaging 14.0 points per game with 3.0 rebounds. Played in 25 games and averaged 5.1 points in 2003-04 when he shot .338 from beyond the arch (25-74) and finished the season with 127 points scored. Was an all-star player at Alief Hastings HS. MAJOR: Business Administration. |
