Rodgers asserted himself as a freshman and became one of the Comets' first options off the bench in their 18-8 season. Appeared in all 26 games, averaging 16.5 minutes and 6.8 points per game. Led the Comets with 22 points off the bench in their 78-76 upset of NCAA Division I UT-Arlington and was named a member of the American Southwest Conference East Division All-Freshman team. An excellent shooter who is not afraid to battle inside, Rodgers should see a lot of playing time again in 2007-08.
