At 6-5, Kachikis may be using his size to help beef up the Comet defense in 2006 after spending much of his career as a forward. Kachikis played in all but one of the Comets' games as a freshman, when he scored 5 goals (2 of them game-winners) and had one assist, while launching 34 shots, 17 on goal. In 2004, he made 12 appearances and scored twice; then followed that up in 2005 with 16 appearances and 1 goal.
