Griffin began her award-winning career at UTD as a freshman starter and followed that up with an equally impressive sophomore campaign in 2006. Hit a stellar .414 as a freshman - still a single-season UTD record. She followed that up with a .413 season as a sophomore before slipping slightly to .379 in 2007. She won honorable mention All-American Southwest Conference East Division recognition each year. In 2005, she was also elected ASC East Division Freshman of the Year and third-team NFSCA All-West Region after knocking nine extra base hits, scoring 22 runs and driving in 15 more. In 2006, she added another nine extra-base hits (including her first collegiate home run), scored 35 times and had 20 RBI. Last season, she had two home runs among 16 extra-base hits. She had a school-record seven RBIs in a win against Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2007. Griffin has 51 career stolen bases, and has not been thrown out stealing since her freshman year. Griffin was all-district and all-area second baseman as a high school freshman and sophomore, then switched to shortstop and was all-district and all-area MVP her final two seasons. Her team were area champions in 2003 and won a district co-championship in 2004. MAJOR: Business Administration.
