Ichimura is doubling up after a freshman year on the softball field, when she won honorable mention all-division honors in the American Southwest Conference East Division after hitting .314 in 26 games. Will join softball late, but is expected to be a staple in the outfield. A member of a state 5A championship basketball team at Plano West HS, Ichimura has joined the Comets basketball team and is enough of a "pure athlete" to become a key reserve off the bench in her first year. She won all-district honors in softball all three years at Plano West, including first-team recognition as a senior, when she was also named to the state all-academic team and DFW All-Star Game. Her softball team advanced deep into the state playoffs all three years. MAJOR: Business; AMBITION: Advertising/ Marketing.
