Wiedeman made an impact as a freshman, earning 24 starts (primarily at first base and designated player). She hit .322 with 11 extra-base hits, including four homeruns; and was named honorable mention ASC All-East Division. The Comets will look for her to continue to hit for power in 2008. Played four sports (softball, volleyball, basketball and golf) in high school, where she was also a cheerleader and active in a number of student organizations. Was twice a team MVP, and was the district's MVP as a senior, twice earning all-district recognition as a catcher. Was the high school league's Rookie of the Year as a freshman third baseman in 2003. Her high school team was undefeated all four years, and continued a streak of nine straight undefeated seasons. MAJOR: Undeclared; AMBITION: Teaching.
