Arenas became one of the Comets' top players as a junior, hitting .357 with a team-best 38 RBI. For her efforts, she earned American Southwest Conference East Division first-team all-division honors. Arenas was forced into a starting role as a freshman in 2004 when the team lost its veteran catcher in the middle of the season. Stepped up to the challenge, hitting .302 in 36 games with 13 doubles and one triple to go with 12 RBI. Was the team's fulltime catcher in 2005, hitting .284 with 8 doubles, and was honorable mention All-ASC East Division. Played on a district championship team in high school, earning second team all-district honors. MAJOR: Business Administration/Biology; AMBITION: Physical Therapy. |
