Barnett can't help but be a huge boost to the Comets' program after transferring to UTD to complete a degree in the specialized field of computer arts and technology, a program that was not available at her former school, Concordia University in Austin. Barnett was a standout player for the Tornados each of the last three seasons, earning all-conference recognition each season (honorable mention in 2002-03, and 2nd team in 2003-04. Last year (2004-05), she was the ASC's third leading scorer (16.7 ppg) and among the leaders in rebounding with a 6.5 average; and was chosen first- team all-conference on a team that finished 15-7 in the ASC and played in the ASC Championship Tournament. She was a district MVP at Concordia Lutheran HS in Tomball, TX, and was all-state in 2002. She has won ASC Academic All-Conference honors each of the last two years. MAJOR: Computer Arts & Technology.
