Baker has gone from a walk-on who didn't even play her freshman season to one of the Comets' team leaders last year when she started all 26 games and averaged 11.8 points and 5.3 rebounds. For her efforts, she was named to the American Southwest Conference East division honorable mention all-division squad, and the East Division All-Defense team. Will be looked to again to provide team leadership on a young squad. Baker was on the UTD campus as a freshman, but did not join the Comets until her sophomore year and was probably the Comets' best defender on a 12-13 team in 2005-06. She got nine starts and appeared in all 25 UTD games, averaging 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Named to the ASC Academic All-Conference team last year. Baker was part of a successful high school team in Copperas Cove, TX, where she was honorable mention all-district as a senior on a playoff team. MAJOR: Psychology; AMBITION: Psychologist.
