Meriwether saw action in all 26 games the Comets played during her freshman season, and actually started three contests. Had 75 points and 39 rebounds while averaging 14.0 minutes per game. Meriwether was a 2nd team all-district player at Gregory-Portland HS, where she was a co-captain. Played in the Coastal Bend All-Star Game, and finished second in a shooting contest at the Victoria Tournament. Played in several AAU national tournaments. Was a member of the National Honor Society in HS, and won several scholarships. MAJOR: Mathematics; AMBITION: Teacher/Coach.
