Buckles had a breakout season for the Comets as a sophomore in 2004, playing in all 21 games and scoring 11 goals with a team-high 10 assists, and earning second-team All-American Southwest Conference honors. She took it a step further in 2005, earning first-team All-ASC after 13 goals and 8 assists. She was also two-time ASC All-Academic. In 2003, Buckles played in 18 games as a freshman and had 6 goals (2 game winners) and 2 assists while launching 44 shots (20 SOG), earning recognition on the all-tournament team at the ASC Championships. Has been playing competitive soccer for 17 years, including an all-district career at Clements HS in Sugarland, TX. MAJOR: Interdisciplinary Studies. AMBITION: Elementary School Teacher. |
