John Antonisse
is the true veteran of the UTD coaching staff, now in his 10th year as head coach. All of his teams have been contenders in the American Southwest Conference, and have played in four of the last five ASC title games, winning or sharing two of the last five conference championships.

In his 10 seasons as head coach, his teams have compiled a 126-52-17 record. The past eight years, the Comets have a record of 113-31-15, which is one of the tops in the NCAA.

Antonisse is a local product, graduating from Richardson Pearce High School. He played soccer collegiately at Richland College, then the University of Tulsa before earning a BS degree in marketing in 1986. He completed a master's degree from Amberton University in the spring of 2004.

After beginning his coaching career at UTD as an assistant men's soccer coach in the mid-1990's, Antonisse became a head coach at the University of Dallas in Irving in 1996-97, then returned to spearhead UTD women's soccer program at UTD in 1997. Coach Antonisse has been named the American Southwest Conference Coach of the Year three times.

John also proudly coaches with the Dallas Texans Soccer Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in the country. He also holds a USSF "A" License and an NSCAA “Premier” diploma.
