
UTD Athletic Training Program Offers
Experienced Staff, First-Rate Facilities
Student-athletes at the University of Texas at Dallas –are beneficiaries of some of the best collegiate athletic training in NCAA Division III.
The athletic training staff is headed by veteran Head Trainer Larry Gardner (near right), whose 30-plus year distinguished career has included stints with both the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins of the NFL. He is assisted by Maria Rosanelli (middle) and Kurt Kammerer (right), who joined the staff in the fall of 2006. (Click on name for biographical information)
The Athletic Training staff supervises the health and welfare of over 250 student-athletes at UTD; as well as assists with visiting players.
VISITING TEAM INFORMATION
The UTD Athletic Training Staff is happy to help visiitng teams within the following guidelines:
• UTD will provide visiting teams with ice water, water bottles and/or cups, ice and ice bags, Band-Aids, gloves, gauze, Biohazard bags, emergency equipment and on-site ATC/LAT.
• A physician will usually be available on-site.
• Bench towels will be supplied, but visiting teams will be responsible for providing towels for showering following practices/games.
• If your team travels with a member of your athletic training staff, space will be provided in the training room for providing treatment. Our staff will be glad to assist you.
• If your team does NOT travel with a member of your athletic training staff, the UTD staff will provide taping, but not treatment. Visiting teams MUST PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY ATHLETIC TRAINING SUPPLIES for your team.
