Second Goal In ASC Game Ends UTD's Season in Tournament Semifinals
ABILENE, TX - The UTD women's soccer team, which recorded 14 shutouts in its last 15 games, were shut out themselves in the semifinals of the ASC Championship Tournament Saturday, falling 1-0 to UT-Tyler. UTD's season ended with a 12-5-3 record, their 11th consecutive winning season. It was the final game for five Comet seniors, including Ashley Walker (5) and Lyndsi Ayers (8) pictured above. STORY

The UTD women wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming ASC Championship Tournament by blanking ETBU and LeTourneau, 8-0 and 2-0 in the final regular season weekend. UTD ran its season shutout total to 13 games, including 12 ASC matches. STORY

The UTD women took over possession of the important second seed in the ASC regular season race with two games remaining by shutting down Texas Lutheran (2-0) and Schreiner (5-0). COMETS KEEP SHUTOUT STREAK ALIVE
CLINTON, MS/PINEVILLE, LA - The Comets moved into second place in the ASC race with a pair of shutout road wins over the weekend. Sophomore Kristina Kinner (pictured) paced a 4-0 win over Louisiana College with two goals and an assist while Lyndsi Ayers got the game winner early in a 1-0 shutout vs. Mississippi College. DEFENSE LEADS WAY TO UNBEATEN START IN ASC
RICHARDSON, TX - The UTD women's soccer team improved to 2-0-1 in the American Southwest Conference race Saturday with a 1-0 win over the University of the Ozarks. The Comets, who also evened their overall record at 3-3-2, got the only goal they would need from sophomore Caitlin Perdue. The UTD defense has not given up a goal in a conference game this season. RICHARDSON, TX - The UTD women's soccer team completely dominated Concordia University of Texas in their ASC opener, 8-0. UTD scored six second-half goals and outshot the Tornados a staggering 52-0. GEORGETOWN, TX - The Comets came back from a 1-0 halftime deficit Friday to knock off Southwestern University, 2-1, for their first win of the season. Senior defender Kelli Jackson (pictured) was named the American Southwest Conference Pre-Season Defensive Player of the Year for the third straight season as part of the annual Pre-Season ASC Women's Soccer Poll. The Comets, who were 14-4-2 in 2006, were picked to finish second. STORY
