is the true veteran of the UTD coaching staff, entering his 13th season at UTD in 2009-10. His teams have put together 10 straight winning seasons, and have perennially been one of the top teams in the American Southwest Conference since joining the league in 2002.
Under Antonisse's reign, the UTD women have qualified for every ASC Tournament the team has been eligible to play in, have advanced to five of the last seven ASC title games, and have won or shared two conference crowns.
In his 13 seasons as head coach, Antonisse's teams have compiled a 159-69-29 overall record. Since posting their first winning record in 1999, his Comets have won or tied 183 of their 231 games over the past 10 seasons – dubbing UTD one of the most successful programs in the NCAA Division III nation landscape.
Antonisse is a local product, graduating from nearby J.J. Pearce High School (Richardson, TX). He played collegiate soccer at Richland College, then at the University of Tulsa before earning a BS degree in marketing in 1986. He completed a Master's degree from Amberton University in the spring of 2004.
After beginning his coaching career at UTD as an assistant men's soccer coach in the mid-1990's, Antonisse became a head coach at the University of Dallas (Irving, TX) in 1996-97, then returned to spearhead UTD women's soccer program in 1997. During his tenure at UTD, Antonisse has been crowned the ASC Coach of the Year three times.
John also coaches for the Dallas Texans Soccer Club, one of the most prestigious organizations in the country. He also holds a USSF "A" License and an NSCAA “Premier” diploma.
